Review
OC Fish Grill Fries
The fries at OC Fish Grill look like they have potential. Thick-cut, skin-on, with a rustic, hand-prepared appearance, they seem like they’re about to deliver. But what you get instead is a fry that feels like it missed its moment.
Visual Appeal
These fries show promise at first glance — skin-on, thick, and golden-brown. They look like they belong next to a grilled fish plate or crispy shrimp.
Texture
Unfortunately, the texture doesn’t match the appearance. Soft inside and limp outside, they seem to have been held too long under a heat lamp. Whatever crispness they once had is long gone.
Flavor
There’s decent potato flavor here, but it’s muted. Without seasoning or even a dip to bring it to life, the fry leans bland.
Salt Level
Under-seasoned. No visible salt, and certainly not enough to counteract the sogginess.
Temperature
Served cold. This is the biggest letdown — fries need heat to shine, and these arrived tired.
Presentation
Visually inviting, but the execution doesn’t back it up. A plate filler at best.
